Graduating from Grenoble Graduate School of Business with a Masters Degree in Business Management and Marketing, Bastien’s passion for the sea lead him to begin his career in the boating industry 12 years ago.Following his success at Sealine International Ltd (ex Brunswick Corp.) in the UK where he assumed a Sales Manager role for central Europe, Bastien was headhunted to join the US firm Chris Craft as International Sales Director. During his 7 years with the iconic brand, Bastien’s experience served him well. He quickly expanded their sales network to more than 30 dealers, which in turn generated more than $20m in sales.Today, he joins the team at Iguana Yachts. The appeal of working for a young business, where each individual can instigate change, combined with the draw of moving back to Europe, made the decision an easy one. Bastien Bonnet commented: “The team at Iguana Yachts deserves a lot of credit for their perseverance and hard work following the introduction of the first prototype in 2012. Since then, they have managed to establish a strong global footprint, and today they are a trusted and respected brand. We are launching a 3 year plan that consists of establishing a bespoke, world class dealer network, together with a significant expansion of the product range. I’m proud to be joining this talented team.”Antoine Brugidou, Founder and CEO of Iguana Yachts said: “I am delighted to welcome Bastien to the Iguana Yachts family. His exceptional knowledge of the luxury boating sector and ability to substantially grow sales network channels will be invaluable as we grow. With Bastien at the helm, I see exciting changes ahead. Following this recent recruitment, we also promoted Steve Huppert as senior VP Strategy and Business Development. Steve remains a key element to our team and will focus more on new projects as we grow.”
